Gaining Space!
Hello My Friends!
Missouri has been having some very mild weather this week; I’m not complaining! I do apologize for the late post… internet issues. It happens out here on the ranch. I use a hotspot app on my phone to provide internet to my laptop and sometimes it can be a little quirky! I was able to figure out the issue; all is well now it seems and wanted to take advantage while I had a moment.
Our Corgi puppies are growing and are so adorable! I will be working on getting updated pictures to the Twin Star Ranch page… I hope you will take a moment to take a peak! We still have 2 males available; they will be ready for their new homes right around Valentine’s Day (wink, wink!).
For the last 5+ years I have been storing furniture for my daughters. One daughter came to get her belongings a year or so ago, but the other has had her whole house stored in my basement… a finished basement with a nice fireplace and I never have been able to enjoy it until this week! A trailer load of boxes and furniture made its way to her farm and I have taken full advantage of the newly acquired… SPACE!!! Sorting, pitching, and stacking in my car to donate has been this week’s activities. I found boxes of stuff I had forgotten existed! Have you ever got the fever to do something and then couldn’t stop??? That’s what has happened! I moved from boxes of stuff to organizing wrapping paper (I uncovered bags of gift bags and tissue paper) and it is all organized! For years I have resorted to feed sacks and tied gifts up nicely with hay strings… all because digging to gift paper was impossible! Then I moved to my closet! OH MY GOSH!!!! I had clothes from when I was in high school… yes HIGH SCHOOL!!! I pulled everything out, sorted, organized and gained a ton of open space in my closet and dresser! I am starting to feel like a new person! It’s wonderful!!! I took a moment from gathering “stuff” to donate and well… decided to drive to the Community Blood Center of the Ozarks blood drive hosted by our local Amish to donate blood as well. I told you I was on a roll!
While on my organizing spree, I came across this handy diagram of where cuts of meat come from off a beef carcass. Years ago when my daughters were in college, they started a “camp” during the Ozark Empire Fair where children could come to learn about different species, each day representing a specific animal. I am pretty sure this pamphlet was from that activity, but hey, thought you might enjoy seeing it! After all, we are in an era when many people are resorting to butchering their own beef because locker plants are so booked up. I will give credit to the American Angus Association for the pamphlet.
I will let you have some time to study the diagram, as for me, I will be heading over to the ranch page to update the puppy pictures, as promised!
Until next time, Happy Trails!!!
