Something Fun!
I just finished up a custom order of a unique style of field trial blankets and wanted to sit down and share something fun with you! Ok, so by now you have figured out I LOVE to create, right? … and I LOVE my cows, horses and, of course, Corgis, but, there is something I have ALWAYS been passionate about and that is Youth in Agriculture! My daughters were 4th generation 4-H’ers and I served as a club and project leader for many years! There is something about helping youth learn and succeed that just resonates in my soul!
In the beginning stages of my blogs, I stated that I hoped I would be able to teach. I anticipate that my website, here at Sliding Stop Trading Post, is a place that the whole family can find enjoyment and information, whether it be farm news and shopping for mom and dad; or fun stuff and puppy videos for the kiddos. With the weather so yucky outside, I thought this week’s blog would be a good time to share a crossword puzzle I created. Hopefully, you will enjoy sitting around the fire this evening with your little cowkids and solve the crossword puzzle on cattle breeds as a family. I loved doing things like this for my Livestock and Horsemanship project members. It brought back so many fun memories working with the children and helping them learn.
By the way, “Washington” our female momma Corgi and her puppies are doing wonderful!! I have 2 available males if you are looking. They will be ready for their new home around Valentine’s Day… what a great way to put some love in your life with a cute lil Corgi!!!
