A Cozy Night of Food, Puppies and a Flickering Fire
Good Evening Dear Friends!
As I type this, there is a cozy fire flickering in the fireplace, apple crisp baking in the oven, homemade applesauce simmering on the stove and a Cowboy Stew of sorts in the crockpot. We had some apples that needed to be used up so what better day than this chilly, damp day to enjoy the cinnamon yumminess of apple crisp and apple sauce! It rained liked the dickens this weekend and it is cold today… not so good weather for baby calves, that’s for sure. All are doing good despite the weather.. as they love to nestle down for a nap in the fluffy rolled out hay.
The corgi puppies received their first round of vaccinations this week and 2 males are still looking for their furever home. I love to sit in the middle of the kitchen floor and let them climb in my lap for some lovin’s… not to mention that puppy kisses are the absolute best. ssshhhh…don’t tell Lynn!
Are you like me wondering where to time is flying? The groundhog will be making its appearance or not, this week and then we will be planning Valentine’s Day activities… slide on over to the Sliding Stop Trading Post and Frontier Finery shop pages for some cute ideas as gifts for your loved ones. Then in March our first colt of the year is due. I chose a new sire for this colt and I am excited to see the result of that crossing. There will be picture overload when that baby hits the ground! LOL
I hope this post has found you all doing well. I will leave you to enjoy puppy pictures… I need to pull the crisp from the oven and add the cheese to the Stew.
Until next time, Happy Trails!!
